A Birthday Wish

It’s a birthday month in this house, my Mom, my Dad and my Daughter AK have their birthdays this month.

As a child I enjoyed celebrating birthday and I waited for my birthday every year. The happiness to cut a cake, blow candles, bursting balloons and claps were best.My birthday comes during school holidays and I never got a chance to celebrate it with the school friends. So it used to be a small family event.
Every year I troubled my mom as dad to gift me in colourful gift wraps. And every year I was gifted whatever I wanted. I would say I had the luxurious childhood out of 3 kids.I remember my Maternal uncle bought cakes from bakery.
For some reason I told my mother I wouldn’t celebrate birthdays after I turn 12 years. From 13th birthday my parents wished me, blessed me and I was gifted a small Krishna doll.

Just like mom, is my daughter in these. She loves to hear “Happy Birthday” song and she would request Alexa to play this for her. Every Amazon parcel is a birthday gift for her and she takes it from the delivery person so gracefully with a cute smile.

Last year when my daughter AK turned 2 years, I planned a balloon decoration and was preparing the night before her birthday.
My Mom asked me a question “Ramya, my birthday just passed by, you sent me a message and hugged me . When will you do all these to me?” I was surprised to hear that from her, I promised her “Amma when you turn 60, I will celebrate your birthday with all these decorations and let’s do the cake cutting.”
I can never imagine your life was too short Amma.
If you were here today you would have hit the 60th button and we got a chance to make your smallest cute wishes come true.
Today you are not here, my prayers to God is “May you stay in his heart and play your melodies musical Veena”.

A Mutlitasker. My friends say I am a creative person, as I can recreate anything handmade. Right now a Mom of a naughtiest toddler.
